Carey Grayson was just 19-years-old at the time that he brutally murdered 37-year-old hitchhiker Vickie Deblieux. Now Grayson is approximately the same age as Deblieux when she was killed. The irony, I am sure, is not lost on him.
It was February 21st, 1994 when the murder took place. Grayson, along with 3 friends were driving around, as teenagers do, and saw Deblieux hitchhiking by the side of the road near Chattanooga, Tennessee. They stopped and offered her a ride. She accepted. Instead of taking her into town, they stopped at a wooded area and started drinking and doing drugs. Getting worried about the situation and the guys, she tried to run away. But they attacked her by throwing bottles, then when she stumbled, they beat her and then stood on her throat until she died. They then drove her up to Bald Rock Mountain and then threw her body off a cliff. After cleaning the blood out of the truck and worried that the body would be identified, they then climbed down the cliff and cut off her fingers, stabbed her several more times, took out her eyes, cut open her stomach and even shoved a bottle into her vagina.
